Weather in Hua Hin - Tropical climate on Gulf of Thailand
Hua Hin lies on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand, and enjoys a tropical climate, with high humidity and high temperatures. The region experiences three distinct seasons - hot summers, milder winters and the rainy monsoon period. The best time for a Hua Hin holiday is between December and February, when the temperatures are at their lowest and the days are relatively dry.

Hua Hin Weather - Visit during the cooler period, December to February
The temperature does not vary dramatically throughout the year, with the coldest and hottest months only seeing a difference of 5C. The cooler winter season runs from November to February, and sees pleasant temperatures of 25C - 27C, with plenty of sunshine. There are some strong winds, which provide ideal conditions for water sports, especially kiteboarding which is a popular water sport in Hua Hin. Temperatures heat up in March and April, with the average high of 30C continuing into June, sometimes reaching up to 34C, and the area seeing an increased level of humidity.

Weather in Hua Hin - Rainy season from July to November
Rainfall does vary quite considerably however, with January being the driest month, receiving just 4mm of rain, and October and November seeing the wettest weather, over 200mm. Even during the rainy season, which runs from July to November, the showers are short, and due to its location, Hua Hin does tend to see less rainfall than other areas in the south.
