Hotels4u is launching an enhanced city-break programme in 2008. The February launch will feature 10 city break destinations; 9 from Europe with the final one being New York. The 10 most popular cities are likely to drive the programme and account for as much as 75% of all sales.
An additional 30 European citiy breaks destinations are expected to be added before the newly created hotels4u cities division, goes live in May, replacing their current city break programme which has not had its own team behind it.
Hotels4u sales and marketing director John Harding said: "We're looking for a good range of properties. What we want to do is make sure we are as good at selling city dynamic packaging through the high street as we are at selling beach dynamic packages."
Hotels4u anticipate that around 70 cities will feature on the site, with some of the more popular destinations expected to have up to 100 hotels with three to five star ratings.
