Holiday Island Weather

A holiday in Holiday Island will not only include spectacular beaches but an abundance of sunshine with high temperatures all year round. The Maldives are one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations for those who love unspoilt beaches, long sunny days and a relaxed atmosphere. Holiday Island boasts year round temperatures of 30C and above. Of course the Maldives do receive rainfall each year but Holiday Island is located in the South Ari Atoll meaning rainfall is distributed evenly throughout the year. Heavier rainfall periods will be found during the months of May and October but rain will usually come in the form of short rain bursts that will be quickly dried by the heat.

 

November through April is considered to be the best time to visit Holiday Island. There will be less rainfall at this time of the year and the humidity levels will be more manageable. Although temperatures are high all year round cooling sea breezes will always drift over the island to soften the heat. Holiday makers can expect around eight hours of sunshine per day. Evening temperatures will also be warm at around 25C throughout the year and light clothing will be all that is required.

 

At around 28C the Indian Ocean will be perfect for swimming, diving and snorkelling no matter which month holiday maker’s visit. The festive season on Holiday Island is another popular time of the year with temperatures around the 30C mark and low humidity levels. Rainfall will be evenly spread throughout this period averaging around 13 days, but again these will usually come in short bursts and will not dampen the high temperatures. Holiday Island is a tropical destination that will prove to be an unforgettable sunshine holiday experience.
