Weather in Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa - Hot tropical luxury in the Maldives
The spectacular Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa lies on the two islands of Rangali and Rangalifinolhu, in the Alifu Dhaalu Atoll (formerly the Southern Ari Atoll). Known for its luxury holidays and opulence, the hotel also enjoys an idyllic setting, with a hot tropical climate and an abundance of glorious sunshine. Influenced by the two weather patterns that blow through the Maldives, the peak tourist season is during the British winter, when the northeastern monsoon hits the region.

Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa Weather - Visit from January to March for best conditions
The northeast monsoon affects the island from November to April, bringing a period of dry warm weather, as well as comfortable temperatures and plenty of sunshine each day. January to March experiences the best weather, with highs of 30C and 8 - 9 hours of daily sun, and also sees the least amount of rain all year, with just 68mm - 90mm falling each month. With these fantastic conditions, the beach is the place to be in the Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa, and, with the waters of the Indian Ocean reaching a very pleasant 28C - 29C, water sports and boat trips are popular daytime activities. Evening temperatures hover around 25C - 26C, meaning great conditions for dining on the beach or moonlit strolls. Spring sees an increase in temperature and humidity, with April, the hottest month of the year, reaching 32C as the island prepares for the southwest monsoon and the upcoming rainy season.

Weather in Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa - Summers experience the rainy season
May sees the rains increase, with around 211mm falling, and around 160mm - 200mm of monthly rain seen until September. This rain is also accompanied by 7 hours of sunshine, and the daytime temperature hovers around 30C until the end of the year. September and October are the wettest months of the year, receiving 213mm - 229mm of rainfall respectively. The sea temperature remains at 29C during the monsoon, although the waters are a lot rougher at this time.
