Hewanorra Weather
With its typical Caribbean weather Hewanorra offers virtually guaranteed sunshine at any time of the year and average high temperatures that rarely fall more than a couple of degrees below 30ºC. The south coast of the island may feel a little cooler than the north and west thanks to the prevailing winds which also make the water a little rougher. The North West with its gentle Caribbean sea does get more visitors, which means that the undeniably beautiful beaches in the south will not be as crowded. The weather in Hewanorra makes this an ideal destination for a beach holiday on a romantic tropical island at any time of the year.
Weather In Hewanorra - Tropical sunshine all year
Hewanorra is a superb winter sun destination with average daily temperatures rising to 28ºC. St Lucia is a mountainous tropical island with rain all year, with the wettest months being from July to November, but the rain does tend to fall in short bursts and there are still 7-8 hours of sunshine each day in the so-called rainy season. Hewanorra is in the Caribbean hurricane zone, though, and anyone visiting in July to November should take advice. Hurricanes are rare and there is plenty of warning of any adverse weather, so there’s little chance of it spoiling a holiday at a time when the island will be quieter. Outside of this period visitors can look forward to blue skies over an area that’s bursting with colour.
Hewanorra Weather – Perfect for a romantic Caribbean holiday
The weather in St Lucia can be humid but the south of the island in particular does benefit from sea breezes which help keep it comfortable. Visitors should be prepared for very humid weather if they visit the interior – and it would almost be a crime not to see this beautiful rainforest – but of course it is the humidity that allows the birds of paradise and exotic plants to thrive here. The rougher waters in the south and east are ideal for water sports such as wind- or kite-surfing and there are also beaches suitable for swimming and relaxing. Hewanorra’s balmy evenings are perfect for romantic beach strolls or watching the sun go down while enjoying a delicious rum punch.
