Hayes and Jarvis Holidays have launched an Exclusive Collection specifically for the luxury holiday market. The programme, new for 2008, features 28 of the world's most exclusive five-star hotels with new destinations including South Africa, Bali and China.
Hayes and Jarvis have revealed that bookings have increased by 14% year on year, thanks in part to a boost from high-end bookings worth at least £10,000, with more than two thirds of these bookings made by agents.
Hayes and Jarvis managing director Clare Tobin admitted they were surprised just how many bookings were made by agents rather than direct, "Clients know the holidays they want to book but they're not easy to research so they ask for advice. They want to understand how they can make the best use of their time on a trip and how to make the time differences work for them."
Hayes and Jarvis have held up to 18 educational trips this year for their staff, taking in destinations that include Mauritius and China. As a result, agents have become more confident in selling those holidays.
