Gulf of Valinco Weather

The Gulf of Valinco lies on the south west coast of Corsica, and offers a host of beautiful beaches known for their excellent water sports, and a picturesque interior. The weather in the area is typically-Mediterranean, with hot dry summers and mild winters, and experiences an average summer temperature of 24C.

 

Summers are hot in the Gulf of Valinco, with the height of the season seeing daytime temperatures of 26C, and night time highs of 17C. The coast does see some breezes to temper the heat, and the humidity level remains moderate. Weather in the summer is dry, with the Gulf of Valinco receiving between 13mm - 25mm of rain during the peak season months of July and September. From May onwards, the sun shines for a minimum of 9 hours each day, peaking to 11 hours in July. The sea is ideal for swimming and all types of water sports at this time, with the summer months seeing warm waters and temperatures between 23C - 24C. Spring and autumn see the best conditions for outdoor activities, such as biking and hiking, when the weather is cooler but there is still plenty of sunshine each day. Average temperatures during this time range from 15C - 19C.

 

Winters are mild in the Gulf of Valinco, with the lowest temperature of 11C experienced in December and January, and an average of 4 hours of sun each day. The level of rainfall increases in October, with wetter weather generally seen until March, and November being the most rainiest month, seeing 100mm of rain.
