Weather in Guimar – sunshine paradise for beach lovers

If you like your winters warm and your summers sunny, a holiday in Guimar will satisfy even the most serious sunbather. Visitors to Tenerife enjoy one of the world’s most pleasing climates, with plenty of sunshine, little rain and the lowest temperature difference in the world between summer and winter. Situated on the east coast of the island, this holiday resort offers fantastic weather all year round - with up to 10 hours of sunshine a day from May to September and no less than six or seven from October to April.

Rain fall is scarce, with most falling in the winter months or up in the north of the island.

 

The winter climate in Tenerife varies considerably depending on location. The higher ground around Mount Teide can get up to three months of snow, while the coastal areas enjoy far milder temperatures and guaranteed sunshine. The perfect beach conditions make Guimar an ideal winter break destination, with daily temperatures in October still reaching 24C, and not falling below 18C even in January.
