Grand Cayman Weather - A year round sunny climate Grand Cayman holidays enjoy high temperatures, constant sunshine and blue skies throughout the year making it a perfect beach holiday destination at any time. The summer months see temperatures at 30c and humidity can be high but is offset by cooling north east trade winds. For the many divers who holiday here this is the ideal time to visit with warm waters, high underwater visibility and calm seas. A typical midsummer day will see 9 hours of sunshine. Early summer and again in September and October receives the heaviest rainfall which usually consists of brief heavy showers falling mainly along the west coast.
Weather in Grand Cayman - Perfect tropical winters The weather fluctuates by only a few degrees from month to month and winter remains hot and dry with a consistent record of sunshine. With minimal rain and cooling sea breezes it is considered the best time to visit and in fact December to April are peak months for tourism. This winter climate enjoys temperatures of 27c and on average 8 hours of sunshine daily. January and February are slightly cooler and after dark it can feel quite chilly. Wind assisted water sports such as windsurfing and sailing are more rewarding during these months with consistent offshore breezes.
Grand Cayman weather - Warm waters ideal for water sports Sea temperatures remain stable year round between 22 - 24c with excellent visibility even during rainfall and the sea is generally calm and placid all year. The island interior has its own individual microclimate with variable patterns of rainfall and hot, dry weather and temperatures in these areas it can be more extreme than coastal regions with bigger variations particularly during summer months. Likewise the terrain as equally as varied with large areas of wetlands and dry subtropical forests. The year round stability of its climate makes Grand Cayman an attractive proposition throughout the year and although constantly hot and dry, the heat is rarely uncomfortable.
