Gota de Gordos Weather – Idyllic sunshine destination

The northern coast of Costa Blanca has long been a favourite sunshine destination with British holiday makers. The climate in Gota de Gordos is warm and sunny all year round and temperatures can reach higher than 30C during the peak summer months. Gota de Gordos does boast a record-breaking 325 sunny days per year, and although the peak summer temperatures can be extremely high the coastal breezes will help to cool down the heat. Humidity levels are relatively low so the heat will not feel as intense as it really is which means sun protection should always be used.

 

Holiday makers who enjoy high temperatures will be in heaven in Gota de Gordos. July and August are the peak months boasting temperatures above the 30C mark. The temperature has been known to rise as high as 40C, which may be too uncomfortable for some. However, the breezes that drift in will soften the heat. Rainfall during the summer months is practically nonexistent and sunshine levels will be high during the summer at around 11 hours per day. June and September are also very popular months with temperatures in Gota de Gordos hovering around the 28C mark.

 

Gota de Gordos is an all year round sunshine destination and even the winter months will provide temperatures of around 16C. This is more than enough sunshine to provide a golden winter tan. There is a chance of rainfall at this time of the year but this will usually mean short lived showers. Temperatures will range between 20C and 25C during the months of April, October and November providing an abundance of sunshine to explore nearby resorts such as Javea and Denia.
