Golden Sands, blue sky. The long sunny days, together with white gold sand and beautiful surroundings, make this a perfect destination for sun-lovers, water-sports enthusiasts and families. The season lasts from May to October with temperatures reaching around 30°C at the height of summer. Visitors can expect around 9-11 hours of sun each day in the high season, with days up to 15 hours long, giving plenty of time to enjoy the sports and activities as well as the natural beauty of this area.

This northern area of the Black Sea coast enjoys a temperate climate with warm summers that are not too hot and mild winters. Although the breezes that make the summer days enjoyable, and make it easier to sleep at night, can feel more like a cold wind from late October to the beginning of May. The hotter days are also tempered by the forests of the Zlatni Piasatsi Nature Park that surround the beach. The maximum temperatures tend to be in July and August when it hovers around 30°C. June and September are still a warm 26°C, while May and October averages are around 21-22°C. The Golden Sands beach slopes gently down into a sea that is non-tidal with small waves and is a very pleasant 21-23°C from July to September.

Golden Sands enjoys around 300 sunny days each year although, perhaps unexpectedly, June is the wettest month. Not that there’s that much rain - perhaps three rainy days all month and the weather soon goes back to being warm and sunny. The average temperature of around 27°C throughout the summer season seems to suit most visitors – whether they come to soak up the sun, relax and enjoy the spa treatments or explore the local areas of natural beauty.
