Marina

Gocek is a fishing village, and the marina in Gocek is home to some great restaurants, as well as a modern Turkish bath. There are plenty of restaurants dotted along the waterfront where you can sample some of the local food and drink.

Mud Baths

If you are staying in the beach resort of Gocek, then don’t miss the chance to visit the nearby Dalyan Mudbaths. The mudbaths are a top tourist attraction and visitors from far and wide make the trip in order to take advantage of the cleansing and healing mud. Guaranteed to have your skin glowing and also said to be a remedy for rheumatic and skin conditions.

Exploring
If you are on a cheap holiday in Gocek, you will find that it makes a good pace from which to explore the Dalaman region. Why not take a visit to Patara, Olu Deniz or Fethiye? They make a great day out. There are frequent buses to all of the resorts or you can hire a car or scooter at reasonable rates. Get out and about and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Turkey.

Saklikent Gorge
About an hour’s drive from Gocek is a spectacular natural attraction, Saklikent Gorge. It is the second largest gorge in Europe and the deepest in Turkey. Villagers living in this region discovered Saklikent Gorge (hidden city) almost 20 years ago. Saklikent Gorge is the longest and deepest gorge in Turkey, 18 km long. It’s extremely steep narrow, so the sun doesn’t even get to it, which leaves it icy cold during the summertime.

Boat Trips

Skopea, which stretches out from the village, is a perfect place for taking a boat trip or cruise. You can visit 12 islands that offer an abundance of sheltered coves. Tersane Island features the partially submerged ruins of a Byzantine monastery and an ancient boat-yard. There is also a restaurant on this island, making it a good stop off point.
