Weather in Gardone Riviera - Mild climate on the shores of Lake Garda
The Gardone Riviera sits on the western banks of Lake Garda, and enjoys a mild climate, thanks to its southerly-facing position. Its location means the region is sheltered from the cold north winds by the mountains, and the area boasts an almost subtropical landscape full of lush vegetation. As the Gardone Riviera experiences a typically-Mediterranean climate, the best time to visit is during the warm spring and autumn months, or, for those seeking very hot weather, the busy summer period.

Conditions are ideal for exploring the shores of the lake, and enjoying walking, hiking and cycling before the weather gets too hot. Summers see a rise in temperature, with highs of between 26C - 29C from June to July, and around 10 hours of sunshine each day. High temperatures during the summer are tempered by the cooling winds that blow through the region, and, with a pleasant water temperature of around 24C, conditions are ideal for swimming, water sports and boat trips on the waters of Lake Garda.
