Weather in Galu Beach - Tropical climate south of Mombasa
Galu Beach sits on the East Coast of Kenya, just 40km south of Mombasa, and enjoys an idyllic location on the shores of the Indian Ocean. Galu Beach Weather - Winter sees peak tourist season
Most visitors choose to holiday in Galu Beach in the winter, when the days see average temperatures of 31C - 33C, and around 9 - 10 hours of sunshine. February is the hottest month, with the most sunshine hours, and remains the driest, with only 17mm of rain falling, however on average, there is between 30mm - 60mm of rainfall during the winter season. Night-time temperatures are between 23C - 24C, and winters can see the most humid conditions in Galu Beach, with high levels from December to April. The waters of the Indian Ocean hover around 28C - 29C from December to March which means ideal conditions for swimming and water sports.
Weather in Galu Beach - Wetter springs, cooler summers
April and May are the wettest months, with May seeing the most rainfall, up to 270mm each month. Temperatures begin to drop slightly in June, with summers experiencing averages of 28C - 29C and 7 - 8 hours of sunshine. October begins to heat up again, and by November there is 9 hours of sun, and highs of 31C. Between 65mm - 100mm of rain falls during the summer and autumn months in Galu Beach.
