We have no hesitation recommending Fuerteventura to customers seeking a year-round sunbathing paradise, value for money, family-friendly resorts, short airport transfers and fantastic beaches. Fuerteventura has some of the best beaches in the Canaries: a mix of powdery white and volcanic black sand, palm trees and endless dunes. Fuerteventura is a great place to take up watersports, particularly windsurfing. Fuerteventura beach resorts offer the typical Canaries mix of affordable hotels, good-value self-catering apartments and classic package holidays with plenty of hotel-based entertainment supplementing Spanish and British-style restaurants, bars and nightlife: generally slower paced than lively resorts on Gran Canaria and Tenerife but livelier than La Palma. A superb winter sun destination and the entire island is easily explored by car. The enjoyable resorts of Caleta de Fuste and Costa Caleta offer excellent-value Fuerteventura family holidays. Beach fans should consider the huge sweep of golden sand at Playa Barca. The south coast Jandia peninsula nature reserve has terrific beaches and unhurried resorts like Costa Calma, Morro Jable and Playa Jandia, ideal for couples, quiet family holidays and affordable honeymoon holidays. For lively fun nightlife try Corralejo, which boasts the incredible Grandes Playas beach. Consistently one of our most popular destinations.
