Fuengirola Weather

British holiday makers have been drawn to the Costa del Sol for decades thanks to the all year round sunny climate. The weather in Fuengirola consists of long hot summers and short mild winters. Fuengirola averages 330 sunny days per year with summer temperatures of 30C and over. Even the winter months will be pleasantly warm, and February in Fuengirola is known as early spring when the flowers begin to blossom and temperatures head to the 20C mark. Rainfall will mainly stick to the late autumn and winter months but will not last long enough to spoil any holiday in Fuengirola.

 

The temperature in Fuengirola heads over the 20C mark from April onwards and by May it will usually reach over the 25C mark on a daily basis. May is considered one of the best months to visit; hot and sunny with cooling afternoon breezes. By June the temperature will head close to the 30C mark and higher temperatures are not uncommon. Sunshine levels are high during the summer months, and holiday makers can expect at least 10 hours of sunshine per day. Rain in Fuengirola is nonexistent at this time of the year and the sea temperatures are perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

 

July and August bring the hottest weather to Fuengirola and humidity levels rise with the increasing temperatures. September is still a summer month with temperatures at the 30C mark but there may be one or two rainy days during this month. The autumn months on a holiday in Fuengirola will bring short lived rain but the sea is still warm enough for swimming. Apart from a few rainy days the weather in Fuengirola makes this the perfect destination for a sunshine holiday at any time of the year.
