Weather in Fuencaliente - Hot and dry on the southern tip of La Palma
Located on the very southern tip of La Palma, Fuencaliente experiences a subtropical climate, with hot weather throughout the year. Thanks to its southerly location, the resort sees hotter drier weather than other resorts, which tend to be greener and more lush due to the increased rainfall seen further north. Fuencaliente enjoys a very pleasant average annual temperature of 22C.

Fuencaliente is a year-round destination, with its temperate weather attracting many kinds of holiday-makers, especially nature-lovers, bird-watchers, and walkers and hikers. Conditions are ideal for growing grapes, with Fuencaliente known as the island's major wine-producing area. Spring sees highs of 22C - 23C and 6 hours of sunshine each day during April and May, with June reaching 23C, and August rising to 25C, with 8 hours of daily sun. Summers see virtually no rain, and warm sea temperatures of up to 23C - ideal for the fantastic scuba-diving found along the coast. Conditions are very comfortable in Fuencaliente with low levels of humidity, even during the summer months.

Temperatures remain warm during the autumn and winter months, rarely dropping below 20C, and the resort still experiencing at least 4 hours of sunshine each day. The winters are the wettest period, with January seeing the most rainy days, and December experiencing the highest volume of rain - 106mm each month.
