Expedia holidays and Fish4, owner of the UK’s largest classified website for jobs, homes and cars have joined forces to create a travel version known as Fish4holidays.
Fish4holidays, powered by Expedia’s booking engine, will allow customers to book packages for city breaks, flights and car hire. David Roche, senior vice president, Expedia EMEA said,
"We have made a considerable investment in our distribution technology and this has enabled us to be highly competitive when pitching to new partners. We have developed a tailored, co-branded offering for users of fish4holidays, utilizing the world class hotels, flight and ancillary travel products that Expedia is known for."
Joe Slavin, chief executive of fish4, added: “Expedia is the world’s leading online travel provider and their expertise combined with an extensive partner network and efficient booking engine will ensure that we are providing the best service in booking holidays.”
“Our decision to enter the holiday market was a logical step for us to take as planning and organising a holiday, buying a new home or a new car, or getting a new job are all key decisions that affect our customers in their everyday lives.”
In January Sky teamed up with Expedia Distribution to offer TripAdvisor content on its travel portal.
