Filitheyo Island Resort weather - A tropical climate
The tropical climate in the Maldives may take a couple of days to acclimatise to if you are not used to the heat. Thankfully the fierce temperatures are cooled by pleasant sea breezes coming in from the Indian Ocean, making the weather in the Maldives a perfect destination for those who want to experience a true tropical paradise. The hottest months are April and May, with temperatures regularly rising to 32°C. Make sure to bring a high factor sun cream and hats to wear to protect yourself from the sun.
Filitheyo Island Resort Weather - Monsoon season
The lush green vegetation on this magnificent island can only mean one thing, rainfall. As in all equatorial regions, there is a monsoon season on Filitheyo Island which runs from May to September. The highest rainfall takes place during July and June. However, as you can see from a look at the table to the right, daily sunshine hours are still generous during these months at 7 hours. This indicates that the daily rainfalls are short and torrential, often occurring in the late afternoon. If you get caught in a shower, you will dry off quickly in the sun! The best time to choose a holiday to Filitheyo Island Resort is between December and April, when the islands are at their driest.
