Trek the Rainforest
Countries such as Thailand and Malaysia boast some of the most spectacular rainforests in the world and a chance to trek the rainforests in the Far East should not be missed. Two or three day tours of the rainforest can be arranged and you can trek the rainforest by canoe, jeep or even elephant. A night-time walk through the jungle of Taman Negara National Park in Malaysia is an experience to remember.

Cruising
The rivers of the Far East are a great place to take a relaxing cruise. In Thailand you can take a trip on a traditional rice barge and see the sites as you sail down the River of Kings out of Bangkok. Hire a boat in Beihai Park in Beijing and drift around for hours as you spot the white jade Buddha at the Hall of Receiving Light.

Beaches
Holiday-makers have been heading to the Far East in search of the ultimate beach holiday for years. Some of the most spectacular beaches in the world can be found with holidays in Thailand and Malaysia. Beaches in Phuket and Ko Tao in Thailand, and Pulau Perhentian in Malaysia are legendary and known the world over as the holy-grail to the beach lover. You can truly find your own deserted tropical paradise on the beaches of the Far East.

Karaoke
To say that the Chinese love karaoke would be an understatement. It is practically a national past time all over China and in many other parts of the Far East. There are karaoke bars all over China and a good voice is not required if you decide to take part.

Cuisine
Traditional cuisine in the Far East is some of the best in the world. It is not hard to find an award winning restaurant in the Far East's sophisticated cities but even street vendors will sell delicious, inexpensive food. It is easy to find mouth watering, local food for a fraction of the price you would pay in western countries.

Watersports
There is an abundance of water sports in the Far East. Countries such as Thailand and Malaysia have numerous fantastic beaches where you can swim, snorkel or dive in the crystal clear, warm waters. There are numerous dive centres in Thailand and Malaysia and the prices are usually inexpensive.
