The Seychelles Tourism Board has launched an online advertising campaign, with travel website Expedia. The campaign gives the Seychelles Tourism Board another chance to showcase its new “Another World” brand concepts in banners and feature content.
The campaign is being run on Expedia’s sites for the top four Seychelles tourist markets in Europe, being the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany. The 3 and a half month campaign will feature animated banners with links to a special promotional page for the Seychelles containing offers and more information.
Expedia currently attracts approximately 19 million unique visitors per month. The campaign will also feature in Expedia’s e-newsletter, distributed to subscribers across the UK, Italy and Germany. Hervé Chang-Yunn, E-marketing manager for the Seychelles Tourism Board said:
“With the growing number of travellers using the Internet to research and book their holidays, this campaign will allow us to reach consumers in large numbers, which is typically difficult for us to do given our limited consumer advertising budget.”
The Seychelles Tourism Board expects the campaign to increase awareness of the Seychelles as a holiday destination as well as generate additional booking, as several hotels have offered special rates to be displayed on Seychelles’ promotional spaces on the Expedia site.
