Eurostar is to add an 11th daily service to the London-Brussels route in order to meet "fast-growing demand". As of December 14th, the service will leave London at 11.04, arriving in Brussels at 14.03. The Belgium departure will see the service leaving Brussels at 12.59 and arriving in London at 14.03. Tickets for the new service can be booked from August 16th (times are subject to Network Rail confirmation).
Eurostar has warned passengers of likely disruption next Tuesday between the UK and Brussels. A threat of industrial action from Belgian railway staff is currently at hand and a 24 hour strike is due commence at 22.00 on Monday.
Eurostar’s move to St Pancras International has helped drive a 21% increase in passengers in 2008. Over 2.1 million people have travelled used the service in the first three months of the year, generating ticket sales of £178 million.
Eurostar has confirmed that the opening of St Pancras International and the new 186 mph High Speed 1 line from London to the Channel Tunnel has had a strong impact on passenger numbers.
Eurostar’s final departure from London Waterloo International will leave the capital at 18:12 tonight after 13 years of service. Overnight, Eurostar will move to a new London home at the restored St Pancras International, where usual service will be resumed tomorrow.
Eurostar takes a step closer to fast journeys into Europe tonight when the Queen will officially open St Pancras International Station. From November 14th St Pancras will become Eurostar’s new home, with the new High Speed 1 line allowing Eurostar trains to travel at 186 miles per hour and shaving at least 20 minutes off the journey into Europe.
Eurostar has pointed to environmental issues such as the melting of the glaciers, increasing temperatures and the change in weather patterns as a reason to travel by Eurostar and reduce the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.

Eurostar has announced record figures for the third quarter of 2007 as the Rugby World Cup helped it to achieve a 13.8% year on year rise in revenue to £148.5. The period between July and September also witnessed a 3.6% rise in passenger numbers to 2.23 million.
Due to industrial action by public sector workers in France, Eurostar will be amending its timetable on Thursday 18 October 2007 to minimise disruption to travellers.
Eurostar has again set another record for train travel during its inaugural High Speed 1 journey between Brussels and London St Pancras.
