Eurostar Leaves London Waterloo International

eurostar city breaksEurostar’s final departure from London Waterloo International will leave the capital at 18:12 tonight after 13 years of service. Overnight, Eurostar will move to a new London home at the restored St Pancras International, where usual service will be resumed tomorrow.

Eurostar Chief Executive Richard Brown said: “We are celebrating 13 momentous years since the birth of Eurostar, and I want to thank all those who have supported us, travelled with us and worked alongside us. We are hugely proud to have developed into the world’s leading international train operator, and pleased that the millions of travellers that we have brought through our terminal have also helped in the local regeneration of the Waterloo and South Bank areas.”

The last Eurostar train to Paris from London Waterloo is scheduled to leave at 18.09, whilst the last train to Brussels is scheduled to leave at 18.12. The final arrival from Brussels is due at 19.28 and from Paris at 19.58.

Eurostar launched its inaugural international rail service from London Waterloo International on 14th November 1994 and has since carried over 81 million passengers to the continent on more than 30,000 thousand trains. The service, which began with two trains a day between London and Paris and London and Brussels now operates up to 17 services each day to Paris and up to 10 services to Brussels.
