Weather in Estepona - Hot sunny weather on the Costa del Sol, ideal beach conditions 
Estepona lies between the Sierra Bermeja Mountains and the Mediterranean, along the western Costa del Sol, about 25km from Marbella and 80km from Malaga airport. The resort boasts some stunning beaches, and experiences a typically-Mediterraneal climate, with high temperatures and an average of 300 sunny days each year. Due to its location close to the Straits of Gibraltar, Estepona can see higher levels of rainfall than other resorts on the Costa del Sol, but during the summer, the days remain dry.
 
Estepona Weather - Great for a round of golf, early or late in the season
Spring and autumn is seen as a very pleasant time to visit Estepona, with temperatures between 18C - 23C, and at least 7 hours of sunshine each day. Conditions are ideal for golf, with the famous Spanish sunshine of the area a major draw for avid golfers who flock to the Costa del Sol. Summers begin to heat up in June, with highs of 26C, rising to 29C in July and August, when the sun shines for an average of 11 hours each day. Night time temperatures remain very pleasant, ranging between 18C - 20C during the summer months, and humidity levels are moderate. The beaches are busy during the summer season, with the sea temperature reaching 22C from July to September, ideal for swimming and water sports. 
 
Weather in Estepona - Increased rainfall during the winter, still plenty of sunshine
Winters remain mild and fairly warm in Estepona, still attracting plenty of visitors, thanks to the abundant sunshine seen here. November to February experiences at least 5 hours of sun each day, with daytime temperatures a pleasant 16C, and conditions still good for golf or sightseeing. Night time temperatures only drop to a minimum of 8C in the coldest month, January. Winters do see increased rainfall, with December and January being the wettest months, receiving 100mm - 115mm.
