Estepona holidays
Estepona, situated just 25km from Marbella, is a charming Andalusian fishing village, which has managed to retain its’ traditional charm and character, whilst offering excellent tourist facilities. A typically Spanish resort, Estepona is an attractive town, with a historic old quarter and a great stretch of sandy beach.

Holidays in Estepona – Sit and watch the action in the lively marina
The main beach at Estepona is La Rada, an expansive stretch of golden sand measuring 2.5km long, and the most popular beach in the resort. La Rada offers a good amount of facilities, and is backed by the modern promenade and a number of traditional ‘chiringuitos’- beach bars – serving up local fish and other specialities. The beach lies at the west end of Esteponas’ lively marina, which boasts one of the largest fleet of fishing boats along this stretch of the Costa del Sol, and is home to a lively fish market. Plenty of bars and cafes line the marina and serve up the delicious freshly caught catch of the day. Just outside the town lies El Cristo beach, a sheltered cove ideal for children, and quieter beaches can be found both to the east and west of the resort. The old quarter of Estepona is Andalusian in character and full of quaint winding streets and floral-filled balconies.

Estepona holidays – Visit the local bullring to catch the local sport
Most of the tourist activity in Estepona takes place down by the waterfront, where the atmosphere is lively and fun, but not as crowded as other resorts in the area. A great selection of bars and restaurants in Estepona offer international cuisine to cater for all tastes, and there are plenty of clubs which begin to come alive after dark. The area is great for golfers, and many famous courses can be found nearby. Estepona is home to a bullring, the Plaza de Toros, and visitors can watch the ever-popular Spanish sport when the season begins in July. There are numerous historic sites in Estepona, including a series of 16th century lookout towers, a 15th century church and an ancient aqueduct. Other interesting places to visit include the Selwo Natural Park, the four museums in the town and the Equestrian Centre.
