A much less familiar name to British holidaymakers than Tuscany, the Northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna offers tremendous variety, with lively beach resorts, history, culture, plenty of Italian panache and some of the best food in Italy! Emilia Romagna beach resorts offer excellent children’s activities, watersports, golf and entertainment. We also strongly recommend charming, historic Emilia Romagna towns like Cesena and Tredozio as fantastic bases for touring the region’s beautiful interior, where fascinating towns and cities like Bologna, Modena, Ferrara, Parma and Ravenna offer a wealth of Renaissance art, medieval streets, tradition, history, thermal spas, cultural events, shopping and sensational dining. Explore traditional villages, the beautiful Apennine Mountains or even visit the sights of Tuscany.

“Rimini is terrific fun, there’s really a buzz about the place. There’s far more to do here than first meets the eye. The Italians are fantastic with kids in restaurants and bars, especially up in the smaller villages and towns where the evening “strolling time” is lovely.”

“If being on the beach isn’t an essential I’d say hire a car and head for one of the interior towns like Tredozio or Modena. Lovely weather and a great circuit of gorgeous places to explore. There’s always an inviting pavement cafe or restaurant and it all feels very Italian.”
