Emilia Romagna Region Reviews

Our reviews of the Emilia Romagna Region...
A much less familiar name to British holidaymakers than Tuscany, the Northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna offers tremendous variety, with lively beach resorts, history, culture, plenty of Italian panache and some of the best food in Italy! The Emilia Romagna region is most famous for wonderfully hospitable family beach resorts like Rimini and Cattolica. Both resorts are beloved by Italians and feature the sparkling Adriatic, great sandy beaches, affordable accommodation, historic old towns, pretty squares, elegant boutiques, a fantastic array of restaurants and bars, and famously buzzing nightlife. Emilia Romagna beach resorts offer excellent children’s activities, watersports, golf and entertainment. We also strongly recommend charming, historic Emilia Romagna towns like Cesena and Tredozio as fantastic bases for touring the region’s beautiful interior, where fascinating towns and cities like Bologna, Modena, Ferrara, Parma and Ravenna offer a wealth of Renaissance art, medieval streets, tradition, history, thermal spas, cultural events, shopping and sensational dining. Explore traditional villages, the beautiful Apennine Mountains or even visit the sights of Tuscany.

Customer Reviews of Emilia Romagna...

“All the historic cities like Bologna and Ravenna are really enjoyable and if you like your food (I do) what can I say? Whether you are dining high class or in a little family place or buying stuff from the market, you will be in heaven! The famous beach resorts are really entertaining, with lots of good nightlife.”
Mr R Ford, Hampshire UK

Rimini is terrific fun, there’s really a buzz about the place. There’s far more to do here than first meets the eye. The Italians are fantastic with kids in restaurants and bars, especially up in the smaller villages and towns where the evening “strolling time” is lovely.”
Mrs I Burke, Liverpool UK

“If being on the beach isn’t an essential I’d say hire a car and head for one of the interior towns like Tredozio or Modena. Lovely weather and a great circuit of gorgeous places to explore. There’s always an inviting pavement cafe or restaurant and it all feels very Italian.”
Mrs L Martin, Port Talbot UK
