El Portet Things To Do
Beaches
One of the many highlights of holidays in El Portet is the stunning unspoilt beaches. El Portet beach and Moraira Ampolla beach, which is located near a castle and has been awarded a European Blue Flag, are examples of Spanish beaches at their best. There are plenty of facilities such as bars and restaurants surrounding the beach area. The nearby resorts of Javea, Calpe and Denia all have stunning beaches with plenty of water sports facilities.
Restaurants
Holiday makers will be spoilt for choice with the restaurants in El Portet. Choices include first class French Mediterranean restaurants overlooking the Moraira Bay, such as Le Dauphin Restaurant, or tradition taverns serving home meals. There are many bars and restaurants only minutes from the beach area and a wider selection can be found at nearby Javea and Denia.
Water Sports
El Portet has a laid back beach area but there is a wide selection of water sports available. Holiday makers can try their hand at jet-skiing, windsurfing, sailing and deep sea fishing. El Portet is ideally located to access the scuba diving facilities in Javea, which is a short 20 minute drive away.
Nightlife
El Portet nightlife is a laid back affair with live music bars and a few nightclubs. Holiday makers who prefer dancing until dawn should make the 20 minute trip to Javea to sample a more lively selection of nightlife options.
Jalon Valley
Holiday makers should make the trip to the stunning Jalon Valley as an alternative to the El Portet beaches. The town of Jalon is worth the trip alone to view the two castles and the Arabic architecture. Jalon Valley is a must for walkers and hikers as the scenery around the Sierra Bernia Mountains is simply stunning. After taking in the scenery stop off at one of the town’s many wine cellars and sample some of the famous local Jalon wines.
