Beaches
The main attraction on relaxing holidays in El Gouna is the beaches - wonderful long stretches of golden sands that line the Red Sea, and offer a peaceful haven whilst on holiday in Egypt. Kite-Surfing
El Gouna is known for its exceptional kite-surfing conditions, thanks to fantastic winds, shallow waters and expansive beaches, and the resort has plenty of places offering facilities, equipment and tuition - for everyone from beginners to experts.
Scuba-Diving
There's also world-class scuba-diving found here, with enthusiasts on diving holidays able to make use of the many different PADI centres and explore this fairly quiet region. Divers have access to numerous dive sites from the resort, and can experience everything from colourful coral reefs to stunning underwater wrecks.
Water Sports
For those not content to just lie on the beach soaking up the glorious sunshine, other water sports to try here include snorkelling, windsurfing, water-skiing and sailing. Fishing charters are also available, and regular glass-bottomed boat rides run up and down the coastline.

El Gouna is home to an 18-hole championship golf course, which boasts a wonderful coastal location and affords scenic views of the mountains, where those on golf holidays can enjoy a leisurely round in the sunny Egyptian sunshine, all-year round.

Make the most of cheap holidays to Egypt by choosing from a variety of day trips, with excursions available to nearby Hurghada, just 20km away, as well as Cairo, Luxor or Aswan. Nile cruises are also hugely popular, and allow for a classic experience whilst in this ancient region.
