El Gastor Weather

Thanks to the high altitude and surrounding mountains the weather in El Gastor can be significantly different to that found in the coastal resorts of the Costa del Sol. Summer temperatures in El Gastor will also be high but will be more tolerable than those found along the sunshine coast. Winter in El Gastor will be bright and sunny but can also be colder than the coastal resorts. Sunshine levels in El Gastor are high with the months from May to August receiving around 10 to 12 hours per day. El Gastor benefits from around 2700 hours of sunshine per year and the mild climate makes this an all year round holiday favourite.

 

The temperatures in El Gastor can head towards the 30C mark from the middle of May until mid September. This is the perfect time to explore El Gastor and the surrounding area. July and August are favoured months with high temperatures, little chance of rain and very low humidity. Temperatures during the hottest months will be around the 30C mark but the mountain breezes will soften the heat making it less intense than the coastal resorts. Spring and autumn are also popular seasons with temperatures staying around the 20C mark although there may be occasional short-lived thunderstorms.

 

Spring in El Gastor is a beautiful time of the year although it usually arrives later than the coastal region. February brings temperatures of around 15C and will steadily increase during the warm spring months and there may be the chance of an occasional afternoon shower. The warm sunny weather and lush countryside make El Gastor a firm all year round favourite location with British holiday makers looking for a sunshine break.
