El Sauzal Weather

When it comes to the weather in El Sauzal you can expect a glorious spring/summer climate the whole year round. Holiday makers flock to Tenerife at any time of the year reassured that they will be able to top up their tans even during the winter months. The average year round temperature in El Sauzal lies between 15C during the winter months and 25C during the summer. However, the hottest summer months of July and August can see temperatures hovering around 30C on a daily basis.

The peak summer season in El Sauzal stretches from May to October when the temperature heads over the 25C mark and the sun is out for at least nine hours per day. There is virtually no rain during the hot summer months and the sea at the nearby beaches of Puerto de la Cruz and Mesa del Mar is the perfect temperature for swimming. Although the summer months can get hot the temperature in El Sauzal is never usually uncomfortable. This is thanks to the combination of the Trade Winds and the Gulf current. From October to December you can expect the temperature to be around the 23C mark and the sun will be shining down for at least seven hours per day.

 

If you are looking for a winter break or the chance to obtain some sunshine during an Easter or Christmas break then head to El Sauzal. Christmas and New Year are particularly busy times with holiday makers who like their festive breaks accompanied by warm, rejuvenating sunshine. You can expect to see the sun for around six hours per day with the temperature maxing out at just over 20C. While the UK shivers in the depths of winter you can be basking in some El Sauzal sunshine within only a short four hour flight.
