Edinburgh Airport - Driving Directions Edinburgh airport is located just off the A8 main road between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The airport access road turns north off the A8 between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts.
Edinburgh Airport - Rail and Coach Links Taxis are available from a taxi rank adjacent to the Edinburgh Airport Terminal building (journey time from the airport to Edinburgh city centre is approximately 20 minutes). Frequent bus services run from the bus station to the central Edinburgh bus terminus Edinburgh Waverley rail station, also stopping at Edinburgh Haymarket rail station. These buses run every 6-8 minutes during peak periods, and at least every 10 minutes until approximately 9.30pm every 15 minutes until approximately 1130pm and hourly through the night. The bus service linking Edinburgh Airport to Edinburgh city centre (journey time approximately 25 minutes) runs all day. Regular bus services to Dunfermline and Livingston are also available.
