Dubrovnik Weather – The new holiday hotspot
The Dubrovnik Riviera has become the new holiday hotspot thanks to almost seven months of constant hot sunshine per year. The temperatures in Dubrovnik can reach over the 30C mark during the hottest summer months of June, July and August with the sun beating down for 12 hours per day. The long dry summer season in Dubrovnik lasts from April to October with any rainfall sticking mainly to November and December. Winters will be cooler, but you can still expect warm temperatures of around 10C to 15C with around five hours of sunshine per day.
Weather in Dubrovnik – The perfect summer weather
April marks the beginning of the long hot summer in Dubrovnik with the temperature heading over the 20C mark and beach resorts such as Cavtat and Kolocep becoming very busy. From June to September the heat will stay over the 25C mark and the summer season in Dubrovnik will be at its peak. Water temperatures in the beach resorts and bays of Dubrovnik will be perfect for swimming, snorkelling and diving. Evening temperatures will still be warm at around 20C to 23C making it the perfect for cooling drinks on the terraces and beer gardens.
Dubrovnik Weather – Mild winter sunshine
Although the winter holidays in Dubrovnik will be generally cooler you can still receive temperatures of around 10C to 15C from November to March. During these months the sun will be shining down for around five hours per day making it the perfect time to explore the Dubrovnik area. An Easter break in Dubrovnik has become very popular with British holiday makers, and April finds the region in full bloom with colourful scenery as spring hits its height. Temperatures will rise towards the 20C mark and the sun will be shining down for around seven hours per day.
