Online travel portal, Door2Tour.com has fully integrated the features of Google Earth into its site and now offers customers the opportunity to take a virtual tour of their chosen holiday destinations through Google Earth.
Users are able to track their routes and zoom in on attractions using satellite views. Door2Tour.com's Google Earth 'layer' enables customers to select take a 360-degree tour of a city, have a bird's eye view of resorts and even view the roads that coach trips will travel.
Door2Tour General Manager Dan Fox said: "We are one of the first travel websites to offer Google Earth to our customers, allowing them to explore their holiday destination before they leave the house, in the fullest sense. All destinations featured on the site are marked up on Door2tour.com's Google Earth layer, including popular holiday destinations throughout Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the UK. Launched this month, Door2Tour.com is the first travel portal to offer live availability coach holidays, with over 5,000 national and international tours offering a diverse choice of UK and worldwide touring holidays with local pick up points.
