Dalaman region weather The Dalaman region is situated on Turkey’s Lycian coast and benefits from around 320 days of sunshine per year. The Lycian, or as it is sometimes known Turquoise coast has around 12 to 13 hours of sunshine per day during the summer season and temperatures in July and August can peak at 35C. Towns such as Dalyan, Marmaris and Fethiye will have uninterrupted sunshine and are almost rain free from June through to September. Holidaymakers are drawn to the Dalaman region of Turkey year round for the hot climate and warm turquoise waters.
Weather in the Dalaman region - a beach holiday with constant sunshine The Dalaman region is home to fabulous hot, sandy beaches in resorts such as Icmeler, Turunc and Ovacik. The most photographed beach in the Mediterranean can be found at Olu Deniz where sunbathers relax and quickly achieve that golden tan. The temperatures in the Dalaman region are generally stable for the seven summer months of the year and although Turkey has diverse regions such as snow topped mountains and green valleys, the Dalaman region is constantly bathed in warm sunshine. The climate and water temperature make the Lycian coastline ideal for an abundance of water activities, snorkeling and diving are very popular pastimes during the day.
Dalaman region weather - winter sunshine in the Dalaman region The Dalaman region’s mild winter climate has made this area of Turkey very popular for a winter sunshine break. The winters are very short and the average temperature is around 17C and still hit the mid 20s in October and November. There can be some rare, rainy days but the winter season still boasts an average of six hours of sunshine per day reaching up to nine hours a day in October and April, perfect for the Easter holidays. In September and October the sea is still warm enough to swim in, although the evenings will be cooler and fresher.
