Boat Trips and Island-Hopping
From many of Croatia’s resorts it’s possible to take day trips around the coastal islands of the Adriatic, giving you the perfect vantage point for jaw-dropping views and fresh sea air. Hop between the peaceful, timeless Elaphite Islands of Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan, with their secluded beaches and great value restaurants.

Unique Arts and Crafts
In Croatia’s capital Zagreb the outstanding Museum of Arts and Crafts allows you to explore the intricate craftsmanship this country is famed for. Also in Zagreb is the Mimara Museum which houses paintings, ceramics and sculpture. You can also see fine examples of early Croatian religious art at the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments in Split.

Lap up Croatian Culture on Summer Evenings
The Dubrovnik Summer Festival is an event highlight for Croatian locals and visitors. It takes place during July and August and is a celebration of culture typically offering jazz, classical music, theatre and dance. Evening performances at the festival are well worth catching if you are in Dubrovnik, but there are also summer festivals in Zagreb and Split.

Set off on a Sailing Holiday
With so many islands and ports, the Croatian coastline is perfect for sailing holidays. Croatian sailing holidays either consist of a course or the chartering of a boat, with or without a skipper. There are over 1,000 islands to explore and the stunning Croatian Adriatic waters offer good sailing for everyone from absolute beginners to the more experienced sailors.

Beach Relaxation in Beautiful Surroundings
Holidays in Croatia boast beautiful, clean beaches and attractive resorts, many of which retain genuine old-world charm, such as the historic harbour resorts Brela and Cavtat. Head to the inviting sands and glistening water of Zlatni Rat, (Golden Cape) on the island of Brac and here enjoy one of Croatia’s leading holiday resorts, Bol, a big hit with watersports fans. The famous resort of Opatija on the Kvarner Riviera is also typical of the high standards you can expect in Croatia.

Hiking and Climbing in National Parks
Croatia’s densely wooded Risnjak National Park is located in the midst of the mountains of Gorski Kotar in western Croatia and makes the ideal setting for hiking and climbing during your stay in Croatia. Another great location to explore is the Velebit Massif of Northern Dalmatia’s Paklenica National Park.
