Our review of Crete...
Rich in charm and steeped in history and tradition, there's no other island quite like Crete. The largest and most southerly of all the Greek Islands, Crete boasts an extraordinary amount of pristine white beaches, glorious countryside and quaint untouched towns and villages, combined with extensive tourist facilities and the longest summer season in Greece. Not to mention the enormous array of ancient archaeological sites that attract huge numbers of visitors every year, mostly from the Minoan civilizations, one of the oldest known to man.

"We have been to some of the resorts around Heraklion many times, and this was our first time going to Chania in Western Crete. We absolutely loved it, and the town centre with its harbour and traditional streets is a really vibrant place. Don't miss seeing the many little villages in the surrounding areas - especially Therissos - it's really charming and traditional"
