Our Review of the Costa del Sol...
The Costa del Sol has been remarkably successful in maintaining its place as one of Europe’s most attractive and popular destinations: no region of Spain attracts as many British visitors and long-term residents. The Costa del Sol simply offers great value family beach holidays with hot, sunny weather: a reliable choice for classic Mediterranean packages with affordable dining and enjoyable nightlife. Beach resorts range from British favourites like Calahonda and Torremuelle, to classic Spanish holiday destinations like Malaga and classy Puerto Banus. However, Costa del Sol holidays offer far more than sun, sea and sand. Recent years have seen a trend towards holidays based in Andalusian mountain villages, whether Arriate and Benaojan near spectacular Ronda or spectacularly located Alpujarras villages like Bubion and Capileira. Excellent weather, fine courses and top resorts like Guadalmina have made the Costa del Sol a popular choice for golf holidays. As well as beaches, the Costa del Sol offers spectacular mountain scenery, traditional Moorish villages, tasty tapas, fantastic fiestas, watersports, walking and even skiing. The great Andalusian cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba are not to be missed.

Customer Reviews of the Costa del Sol...

“Thoroughly recommend Frigiliana. What a beautiful place. It was so easy to get down to Nerja and into Malaga. Really atmospheric in the evenings and being up high quite a bit cooler in the evenings. We really fell in love with the whole Andalusia village thing when we stayed in Benahavis last year. If you only know the beaches, give the white villages a try.”
Mrs R Tucker, Sheffield UK

“The Alpujarras were wonderfully colourful and quiet in May. Lovely walking on the old mule trails. Lanjaron isn’t the best of the villages but it is the handiest for getting down to the coast. Whatever you do go to Granada, our favourite Spanish city. Unique.”
Mr R Rice, Aberdeen UK

“We were surprised how Spanish Malaga is in terms of nightlife and atmosphere. Walk out to the El Palo suburb for some great beach restaurants and hire a car because the roads and villages inland are really worth seeing. Spain is still really good value for eating out.”
Mr & Mrs Jones, Swansea UK
