Comino Holidays
In the middle of the Maltese archipelago, the tiny island of Comino, measuring just 3.5km square, is an idyllic retreat offering complete peace and tranquility. Home to just a handful of farmers, Comino has no roads or cars, and the island is a haven for relaxing, swimming and scuba-diving. There are just two hotels to stay in on Comino, and the island is a very popular day trip from either Malta or Gozo.

Holidays in Comino – With excellent diving conditions
The beautiful coastline of Comino offers plenty of watersports, with the clear waters of the Mediterranean perfect for scuba-diving or snorkelling. The most popular place to visit on Comino is the Blue Lagoon, a sheltered inlet with stunning turquoise water, and an ideal spot for divers to explore the hidden caves and study the marine life. The beach at the Blue Lagoon has soft white sand and is the perfect spot for sunbathing, and Santa Maria Bay, with its’ old 17th century watch-tower and crystal clear water, is another popular place to visit. Diving conditions are excellent all around the coastline, with the even smaller island of Cominotto being home to a coral reef.

Holidays in Comino - An idyllic retreat
Named after the plentiful cumin that grows on the island, Comino is thick with wild herbs and flowers, with the entire island classified as a wildlife sanctuary. As well as scuba-diving, activities on Comino include canoeing and kayaking around the coast, walking and hiking, and the island attracts many photographers. Most visitors to Comino are day trippers, with the ferry departing from Sliema or Bugibba on Malta, and Xlendi on Gozo. An isolated and unspoilt retreat, Comino offers a complete change of pace from the neighbouring islands, with their larger more developed resorts, and is the ideal spot for winding down.
