Coco Beach Resort Weather

Situated on the east coast of Mauritius, this family friendly resort enjoys a tropical oceanic climate with medium to high humidity levels and impressive sunshine hours all year round. Sea temperatures in Mauritius consistently hover between 24°C and 28°C, so swimming in the warm turquoise waters around the coast is a pleasure all year round. High summer is in January and February with temperatures hitting 30°C and over. Humidity can be high but breezes that blow in from across the Indian Ocean help to keep the heat bearable on the hottest days. Bring a high factor sun cream and be sure to drink enough water during times of high humidity. Weather here can be changeable, so if the sky looks grey in the morning, don't despair as it is likely to be sunny again by the afternoon!

 

With no specific rainy season there is very little difference between summer and winter in Mauritius, although there is rain and the island is lush and tropical. The coldest months are June and July and the warmest months are December, January and February, making Le Coco Beach a perfect getaway for those seeking welcome sun in the winter. Be aware that there is a small risk of cyclones at these hottest times which occur on average of 3 or 4 times a year. Hours of sunshine are the longest from October to December at 9 hours, while the shortest sunshine hours are still a pleasing 7 hours in June and July.
