The Club Mahindra is a superb beachfront hotel located behind the sand dunes of Varca Beach in 14 acres of manicured gardens, which have now really established themselves. The grounds are spacious with many facilities, overlooked from the terraced lounge which adjoins reception. The reception area has a vaulted ceiling with an upstairs bar and modern furnishings with wonderful views across the swimming pool and lawns. Safety deposit boxes are provided in reception free of charge. The swimming pool area is attractive and offers plenty of space for sunbathing as well as a great jacuzzi (the largest we have seen in Goa). The restaurant also overlooks the swimming pool and has an air-conditioned indoor section. The walk from the rooms to the beach leads to the health club with beauty parlour, gym., sauna, steam, and Ayurvedic massage. Other activities available are badminton, tennis, volleyball, a children’s play area, children’s pool, giant chess and a video game parlour (payable locally). At the end of the lawn lies Varca Beach which is truly spectacular and you can literally walk for miles in either direction. The comfortable twin or double-bedded rooms are mainly located within the main building with lift access. All have an en-suite SH&WC, air-conditioning (included), T.V., mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, and a balcony or terrace. All rooms are offered on a Bed and Breakfast basis.
