Due to its location in Southern Spain, Chipiona boasts an amazing 3000 hours of sunshine per year. Summer temperatures can reach as high as 33C and even the winter months will be warm at an average 20C. During the long, hot summer months from May to October the temperatures do not usually dip below 25C and the sun will be shining for around 13 hours per day during the hottest months of June, July and August. Although the summers in Chipiona can get very hot you will find that is less intense than mainland Spain thanks to the cooling breeze that drifts in from the Atlantic to take the edge from the heat.

Winters in Chipiona are mild and warm with the average temperatures fluctuating between 15C and 20C. The sun will be out for around five hours per day and rain is short-lived and infrequent. By April the weather in Chipiona is once again heating up to around 25C, making it the perfect time for an Easter holiday in the warm Chipiona sunshine.
