Cheap package holiday deals can be found at any time of the year but there are some simple rules of thumb to follow. Avoid travel on peak season dates when demand is greatest. While it is possible to pick up last minute or late deal on package holidays even at the height of summer, the rule of supply and demand applies. If large numbers of holidaymakers are travelling at the same time then the price of package holidays will remain high. Outside peak season dates (at the start and end of the summer season or outside school holidays) cheap package holiday deals are far more likely to be on offer. Christmas and New Year holidays are also popular dates and are unlikely to be discounted.
