Cayo Largo Weather

Cayo Largo weather is typically sub-tropical, which means high temperatures all year round and an abundance of sunshine. This beautiful little island is located just off of Cuba’s southern coast and has two distinct seasons. The dry season in Cayo Largo stretches from November to April and the wet season lasts from May to October. Temperatures in Caya Largo are high all year round and will not usually fall below 25C at any time of the year. January through to April is considered the best time to visit this sunny island as there is very little chance of rain and the temperatures will be slightly cooler at around 28C.

The climate in Cayo Largo is ideal for those who love to spend days lazing on the white sand beaches and swimming in the warm Caribbean Sea. Very hot weather can be found between May and September in Cayo Largo when the temperature will head over the 30C mark. However, humidity will be high at this time of the year and there is a chance of rain. Sunshine levels on the island are high all year round ranging from seven hours per day from September to April to 10 hours per day during the summer months. Lightweight clothes are all that is required for most of the year except during the rainy season.

Cayo Largo weather is hot and sunny all year round but with such an abundance of sunshine there must also be a little rain. The August and October months can bring hurricanes and May and June will be the wettest months in Cayo Largo. Temperatures in the evening and the daytime vary very little although the cool trade winds will soften the heat.
