Weather in Cavtat - Long hot summers and short mild winters The Dubrovnik Riviera has been delighting holiday makers for years thanks to its seven months of hot sunshine per year. The coastal resort of Cavtat receives over 2400 hours of sunshine per year, and summer temperatures can hit a scorching 30C and over during the months of July and August. The winters in Cavtat are short and mild, and thanks to its Mediterranean climate, are still warm enough to easily achieve a tan.
Cavtat Weather - Seven long hot summer months The summer season in Cavtat kicks of in April when the temperatures start to head towards the 20C mark. From June until September the heat will stay well above the 25C mark and the sun will shine down for around 10 hours per day, peaking at 12 hours in the hottest month of July. Water temperatures are perfect for swimming, snorkelling and diving, and you may welcome the occasional breeze that blows in to take the edge from the heat. October will be slightly cooler at 18C but the nights will still be warm; ideal for cool drinks on the terraces or dancing in the open air discos.
Weather in Cavtat - An ideal year round destination The cooler winter weather in Cavtat is the perfect time to explore the neighbouring region. Temperatures are around 10C to 15C from November to February, so if you want to explore other villages such as Dubrovnik, Mlini, Plat and Korcula then you can do so in comfort. The sun will still be shining for around five hours per day and you will still arrive home with a glowing tan. By March the temperature once again climbs over 15C, making a holiday in Cavtat perfect for an Easter break.
