Weather in Cavelossim – Amazing get-a-way for a winter holiday
Nestling between the Sal River estuary and the Arabian Sea, Cavelossim, in Goa, enjoys a tropical climate with consistent year-round temperatures and plenty of sunshine. This is monsoon territory, however, and while anyone visiting in January or February is unlikely to see any rain at all, there is an average of 1331 mm in July. The best time to visit is from late October to March, when the temperature is pleasantly hot but the humidity has yet to reach its summer heights. Cavelossim is one of the best of Goa’s fine beaches and the winter temperatures are perfect for lazing on the beach or making friends with the local dolphins.

Cavelossim Weather – A tropical paradise with plenty of sunshine
From April the humidity climbs and, although the average daily temperatures are just a degree or two higher, it seems like much more. Nights are extremely warm too, with an average night-time temperature of 27°C in May. The monsoon season – from June to September - will bring days of stormy weather and extremely heavy rain, while the months leading up to it are extremely humid. When October comes, however, the rain will have faded into occasional storms with lots of sun in between. By November there should be very little rain – just 10 mm, falling to 2 mm in December and none at all in January and February. Nights are much more comfortable in winter, too, with average minimum temperatures hovering around 20-21°C.

Weather in Cavelossim – Cool breezes from the Arabian Sea
For beach lovers there can be few places on earth as good as Cavelossim outside of the monsoon season. Gentle breezes waft through the palm trees and the Arabian Sea welcomes bathers with temperatures of 28-29°C for most of the year. 9-10 hours of sunshine each day and clear blue skies are practically guaranteed from November to March. Cavelossim’s warm sun, warm sea and chilled atmosphere offer the perfect antidote to a European winter.
