Beaches
Cap Corse provides easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica. The waters are warm and the beaches are clean and set along the dramatic Corsican coastline. Exploring the Cap Corse area will be the best way to find some amazing little beaches. On the western side you will find Plage de Farinole; a sandy beach with beachside bars and a restaurant. Other beaches in Cap Corse include the small red beach at Plage d’Aliso and the beautiful white sands at Plage de Barcaggio.
Sightseeing
Many holiday makers hire a car to explore the sights of Cap Corse and driving around the entire coast of Cap Corse will only take four hours. The views along the coast are magnificent and there are plenty of stop-off points such as the flower-roofed village of Nonza. The picaresque Centuri Port provides some of the best seafood and fish restaurants in the area. Moulin Mattei is the most northern point on the island and a clear day will provides stunning views of the Tuscan Islands and the coast of Italy.
Sports Activities
Cap Corse is the perfect location for those who love outdoor sports activities. The Mediterranean waters are ideal for swimming, diving and windsurfing. Boat trips are available from St Florent taking holiday makers to some of the most spectacular beaches that are only accessible by boat. The more adventurous can try canyoning, abseiling, hand-gliding and paragliding.
Restaurants
Cap Corse restaurants will provide the best in French and Italian cuisine. Food and drink are taken very seriously by the Corsicans and the restaurants and dishes on offer are second to none. Wild Boar is the island’s speciality although the seafood and fish dishes are mouth-watering. Don’t forget to try the locally produced wines, and there is even a wine festival held in Cap Corse each July.
