Campania Weather - A classic Mediterranean climate
The weather in Campania follows a typical Mediterranean climate enjoying warm, dry summer days and mild winters. It is in a area of fertile lands and brightly coloured flora which is fuelled by consistent sunshine and winter rainfall. Autumn and Spring brings changeable weather with overcast conditions and early morning frost a possibility mainly on higher ground. Sea temperatures remain warm and inviting with swimming and water sports still enjoyed in comfort. Night times are cool and fresh and humidity is rarely a problem at any time of year.
Weather In Campania Region - Warm summer days
Although summer sees constant blue skies and up to 10 hours of sunshine each day, the temperatures are suprisingly mild on the coast and rarely oppressive. Average temperatures reach 29c in July and August. Several popular resorts are located on clifftops providing spectacular views and the winds are not normally excessive in summer time. Further inland the Campania climate has more variation and extremes of temperature with hotter summer days and occasional rainfall in brief showers. At altitude the air is cooler and perfect conditions for a cycling or walking holiday.
Campania Weather - A mild winter climate
The winter months bring wetter, overcast conditions and milder temperatures to the entire region. The heaviest rainfall occurs in November and December when frost is a possibility and showers are usually brief and intermittent. This alternates with mild temperatures and clear skies and dry stable conditions may continue uninterrupted for many days. Temperatures can reach 15c enjoying 4 hours of daily sunshine. Winter weather in Campania enjoys mild and pleasant conditions, often bright and sunny with rainfall restricted to a relatively few number of days.
