Cala Santandria Weather

Cala Santandria is located on the west coast of Menorca, close to the old capital Cuitadella. The resort enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters, and an average summer temperature of 23C. Cala Santandria attracts most visitors during the period from May to September, when the weather is dry and there is between 8 - 9 hours of sunshine each day, creating ideal conditions for a relaxing beach holiday.

 

Late spring sees pleasant weather in Cala Santandria, with May enjoying an average temperature of 17C, a water temperature of the same, and 9 hours of sun. The temperature heats up in June, with an average temperature of 21C and 10 hours of sunshine each day, and rises to 24C in July and August when the sun shines for 11 hours each day. Water temperatures during the height of the summer reach 24C-25C, with these warm Mediterranean waters ideal for swimming and water sports. Humidity in Cala Santandria is never a problem, reaching only moderate levels during peak season, and summers are dry, seeing 8 - 17mm of rain in July and August.

 

Autumn sees warm temperatures of 19C - 22C in September and October, with the sun still shining for a minimum of 6 hours each day. October is the rainiest month of the year, receiving 102mm of rainfall, with the winter period from November to February seeing between 55 - 89mm of rain. The sun still shines for between 4 - 5 hours each day, and the lowest average temperature is 10C. Water temperatures in the winter reach a chilly 16C.
