Cala’n Bosch, situated on the south west coast of Menorca, is a modern resort offering a wonderfully relaxing base, and a favourite with British visitors. Developed in the 1980’s, Cala’n Bosch is mainly full of private villas and self-catering apartments, and is an ideal resort for both couples and families. The attractive marina of Cala’n Bosch, built around a man-made lake, is the hub of the resort, home to yachts and cruisers of all sizes, and lined with plenty of bars and restaurants in which to relax.

Cala’n Bosch has a choice of two sandy beaches, both family-friendly with decent facilities, and offering safe swimming. The beach at Son Xoriguer offers the most extensive choice of watersports, including windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, parascending and a sailing school. Boat trips frequently depart from the marina and travel along the coastline, visiting the numerous rocky coves that dot the shoreline, and for those in search of a little seclusion, nearby Cala Blanca has a selection of smaller sandy beaches. Most of the bars and restaurants in Cala’n Bosch are situated around the marina, and the resort offers everything from karaoke bars to good-quality traditional Spanish restaurants.
Holidays in Cala’n Bosch – Close to Cuitadella
At nighttime, the harbour comes alive with the bars filling up and bustling market stalls selling all manner of goods. The marina is a great place to spend the evening, with a few lively bars and one nightclub, but in general the resort is fairly relaxed at nighttime, and perfect for families. Cala’n Bosch sits just 8km away from the former capital of the island, Cuitadella, and the Moorish city is an easy 15 minute trip by car or bus. The city is home to a historic old quarter, with wonderful architecture and narrow streets, and offers great shopping and fantastic tapas bars and restaurants.
