The beach at Cala Santandria is set around a sheltered rocky cove, with soft white sand which shelves gently into the water. The conditions are great for swimming and paddling, and lots of sun loungers and umbrellas are available for those who just want to soak up the sun. Cala Santandria offers watersports for those looking for a little more action, and there is a scuba diving school on the front. Nearby Cala’n Bosch offers a wider choice of sports, including canoeing, sailing, water-skiing and wind-surfing. Neighbouring Cala Blanca and Sa Caleta also offer lovely sandy beaches, and the gradual development of the area has resulted in the three resorts almost blending together to create one large tourist area. Cala Santandrias’ close proximity to Cuitadella means that the beach is popular with Spanish daytrippers, and can get quite busy, especially during weekends and holidays.

Cala Santandria is an attractive resort, with ample bars and restaurants to choose from, and entertainment that is mainly centred around the hotels. There is just one disco in the resort, but in general the pace of life is relaxed and low-key. Cala Santandria has a few shops selling supplies and souvenirs, but nearby Cuitadella is the place for serious shoppers. The streets in the former capital are filled with chic boutiques and local artisan stores, and the open-air markets are always well-worth a visit. Whilst holidaying in Cala Santandria, other attractions to visit include two water-parks close by, one in Cala’n Bosch, the other on the road to Cala’n Forcat.
